Special or emergency notices--such as church closure due to weather--will be found here. As a rule of thumb, if the Monroe County Library is open on a Sunday, we have services!

Creation Care

Creation Care strives to inspire, educate and call the people of Trinity Episcopal Church to action as faithful and responsible stewards of God’s Creation. We plan events and activities throughout the year to help everyone become better stewards of our earth. We encourage active engagement. Please consider leading or volunteering at an event; participating in the task-of-the-month program; or stewarding your own domain by signing the Creation Care Covenant.
Also, if you are interested in joining our “green team”, please contact us for more information.

Contact Ben Brabson for more information about the Creation Care Committee.
Trinity Episcopal Church has been named an Acclaimed Congregation by Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light (H-IPL). Trinity’s team is led by climate scientist and H-IPL volunteer Dr. Ben Brabson. We have not only reduced electricity and gas use by over 25%, but we’ve reduced water as well, installing low-flow toilets throughout the building. Plus, over a third of the congregation reduced energy use in their homes.

Creation Care Covenant

As a member of Trinity Church Bloomington, I join with our congregation and the Trinity Creation Care Committee to reduce my household energy usage over the next year.

Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light’s “Household Energy Conservation Survey

IMPORTANT: the H-IPL survey should be submitted only ONCE per household.

Also, please save your results (percentage received at end of survey) and email to Ben Brabson for compilation. Thanks!
